錢廣強老師在香港出生，受教育於聖方濟各英文幼稚園及小學和民生書院。1976年前赴加拿大，於安省Muskoka讀寄宿中學。1981年重生得救，在多倫多證道浸信會聚會至今。中學後往多倫多大學 (B.Sc., University of Toronto) ，獲取Computer Science (Specialist) 及Applied Statistics (Specialist)。隨後入讀天道神學院 (M.Div., Tyndale Seminary, formerly Ontario Theological Seminary)，再赴温哥華維真學院 (Th.M., Regent College)，主修宗教哲學；論文題目 “Biblical and Chinese Philosophical Wisdom: A Comparative Study of Ecclesiastes and Tang Jun I”《傳道書與唐君毅人生哲學和智慧的比較》。1989至1990年在證道浸信會任實習傳道，於1990年接任粵語堂主曰學基教事工至今。於1991至2001年在R.G. Mitchell Family Books 任 Sales Supervisor and Purchaser。1995年至1996年於Institute for Christian Studies修讀哲學博士課程；後轉赴多倫多大學神學院 (Th.D. Candidate, Wycliffe College, Toronto School of Theology)，現為神學博士侯選人，主修神學倫理學，論文題目：“Toward an Ethics of Person Formation: An Investigation of Tang Jun I’s ‘Moral Self’ and Its Implication for Christian Ethics” 。
